Here are the highlights: (1) U.S. Foreclosure activity was down 8 percent from August, (2) U.S. Foreclosure activity was up 99 percent from Sep 2006, (3) Foreclosure rate was one foreclosure filing for every 557 U.S. households, (4) Nevada, Florida, California registered top three state foreclosure rates, (5) Top 10 metro foreclosure rates were mostly in California and Florida cities, along with Las Vegas and Detroit.
